He was born in Kuching and is an active Private General Medical Physician in Kuching. He graduated from King's College Hospital School in London and has many post graduate degrees and Diplomas.
His hobbies are badminton, swimming, snorkel diving, scuba diving, golf, good food and good Burgundy.
He received an award from Dato Lau Foo Sun for "Devotion to the Services of the Chaîne and Excellence Achievement Award" on 27th September 1990.
He was awarded officer of the Chaîne in 1995 and nominated as Bailli Regional of Kuching in 1997.
